Family, friends, ferries, geology and mammoths …

The last four days have been busy with a visit to friends on Bainbridge Island, a geology tour of Seattle with my brother Bill who wrote the quintessential book on the geology of Seattle, a wonderful family party, and a trip to Victoria, BC.

Our friends on Bainbridge have 3 year old twin boys- they kept us going and we loved it!

Neil and Eli liked the oysters and caviar dip as much as we did! Yum!

My brother Bill gave us a geology tour of Seattle  – seeing Seattle from various overlooks to learn about the glacial influence and other factors that have shaped the geology of Seattle. We have been to Seattle numerous times, but had never been on this tour with Bill. My cousin Rick and his wife Karen also joined us – was a fascinating and fabulous tour!

Took the Victoria Clipper (ferry) to Victoria, BC today. We love this city thus far!
